Archery

Archery has been practiced since biblical times. Israel and her allies used archery (see below) as did Israel's enemies. Archery is still being taught and practiced today through Centershot Ministries' fun and safety-focused programs.

• 1 Samuel 20:20 And I will shoot three arrows on the side thereof, as though I shot at a mark.

• Nehemiah 4:13 Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

• Zechariah 9:13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

PRACTICED BY THE LYDIANS

• Jeremiah 46:9 Come up, ye horses; and rage, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth; the Ethiopians and the Libyans, that handle the shield; and the Lydians, that handle and bend the bow.

We have volunteers certified in First Aid/Adult and Pediatric CPR

Participants are taught the safety rules before they touch a bow or arrows

Classes and tournaments are set up to provide the safest environment possible
